What documents do I need to hire a car in Montenegro? +
You need a valid driving license (held for at least 1 year), your passport or national ID card, and a credit card in your name for the security deposit. If your license is in a non-Latin script, please also carry an international driving permit. All documents must be originals - please do not bring photocopies or phone photos.
Can I return the car to a different location? +
Yes. One-way car rental is available across all our Montenegro locations. You can return your vehicle to Tivat airport, Budva, Podgorica, or any other service point. Please select your preferred drop-off location at the time of booking. An additional one-way fee may apply depending on the distance between pick-up and return locations.
What is the minimum driver age to rent a car in Montenegro? +
The minimum age to hire a car is 21 years. Drivers aged 21–24 are welcome but must pay an additional young driver fee at the counter. There is no maximum age restriction. All drivers must hold a valid license for at least one year at the time of pick-up. An additional driver can be added to your booking - please request this service in advance.
How do I pay for my car rental? +
You can pay online at the time of booking, or pay at the pick-up counter. We accept all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Please note: we do not accept cash or debit cards for the security deposit. The deposit amount held on your card depends on the vehicle category and the insurance package you choose.
Is free cancellation available on my booking? +
Yes. Most of our car rental bookings include free cancellation up to 48 hours before your scheduled pick-up time and date. To cancel or modify your booking, please contact our customer service team as early as possible. Late cancellations may incur a fee - please read the full booking conditions for your selected offer.
Can I hire a car directly at Tivat airport? +
Yes. We have a car rental desk at Tivat International Airport (TIV). We also service Podgorica airport (TGD). Book your car online, and your vehicle will be ready at the airport counter on your selected date. There is no need to travel to an off-airport location. What is included in the standard rental cost? +
Our standard rental cost includes third-party liability insurance, unlimited mileage, 24/7 roadside assistance, and all local taxes. Optional extras like full collision damage waiver, theft protection, GPS navigation, child seats, and additional driver are available at an extra cost. Can I take the rental car to other countries? +
Cross-border travel is possible to most neighbouring countries including Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Albania. Please inform us at the time of booking - additional cross-border documentation and insurance coverage will be required. Taking a car to Kosovo requires prior written approval from our team.

Do I need an international driving permit to drive in Montenegro? +
Drivers with EU, UK, US, Australian, and most other internationally recognised licenses can drive in Montenegro without an international permit. However, if your license is written in a non-Latin script (Arabic, Cyrillic, Chinese, etc.), you must carry an international driving permit alongside your national license. Please check with us if you are unsure about your country's license validity.
